New Electric Scooters in India
Exciting new options are coming to the electric scooter market in India. Honda has launched the Activa E and QC1, and now Suzuki has introduced the Access Electric. Let’s compare the Honda Activa E and Suzuki Access Electric in terms of battery, range, features, and price.
Battery and Range Comparison
The Honda Activa E features two batteries with a capacity of 1.5 kW each. This allows it to reach a top speed of 80 km/h and offers a range of up to 102 km. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.
On the other hand, the Suzuki Access Electric is expected to launch soon, having been showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. This scooter comes with a larger 3.07 kWh battery, providing 4.1 kW of power and 15 Nm of torque. The battery can be charged at home and can take about 6.42 hours to fully charge. With a fast charger, it can be charged to 100% in just 2.12 hours. The Access Electric has a top speed of 71 km/h and a range of 95 km on a single charge.
Features Overview
The Honda Activa E is equipped with three riding modes: Econ, Standard, and Sport. It features a seven-inch screen and the Honda Road Sync Duo app for updates, calls, and services. Other notable features include a spacious seat, smart connectivity, USB C charging, inbuilt GPS, day and night mode, and navigation.
Meanwhile, the Suzuki Access Electric offers multiple riding modes, including Eco, Ride A, and Ride B, along with a reverse mode. It includes safety features like a side stand interlock system and tip-over detection. Additionally, it has a multifunctional switch, the Suzuki Ride Connect app, a TFT LCD screen, smartphone connectivity, navigation, and real-time traffic updates.
Pricing Details
The ex-showroom price of the Honda Activa E starts at Rs 1.51 lakh for the Road Sync Duo variant, while the general variant is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh in Bengaluru. Suzuki has not yet announced the prices for the Access Electric, but it is expected to launch in the next two to three months, at which point pricing details will be revealed.
Warranty and Service Packages
Both electric scooters come with a three-year warranty. Honda offers three free services and one year of roadside assistance in the first year. Additionally, for Rs 9,900, customers can avail of the Honda Care Plus Package, which includes an extended four-year AMC, two additional years of warranty, and four years of roadside assistance. Suzuki will provide warranty information and service packages at the time of the Access Electric’s launch.
