Hero Splendor, one of India’s most loved bikes, is about to launch an electric version. Known for its great mileage and low running costs, this bike is now getting a modern upgrade. The exact launch date isn’t confirmed yet, but there are hints about it coming soon.
The new Hero Splendor Electric will keep the classic design that fans love while adding modern features. It will come with round LED headlamps, matte finish panels, and various colors like Matt Black, Blue Accent, Silver, and Pearl White. Weighing only 110 kg, it is designed to navigate through city traffic easily.
This electric bike will have a powerful 3KW BLDC motor generating 255Nm torque, reaching a top speed of 75 km/h. It can go from 0 to 40 km/h in just 7 seconds. It features a removable 4KWH Lithium-ion battery, offering a range of 120 km with one battery and 180 km with two. Charging will take about 4-5 hours normally, but a fast charger can get it to 80% in just 1.5 hours.
Some advanced features include a 4.59-inch LED screen, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB charging port. It also has a CBS braking system and LED lighting for better safety. The price after subsidies will be around ₹ 1.05 Lakh for the base variant and ₹ 1.30 Lakh for the top variant, with an on-road price in Delhi ranging from ₹ 1.15 lakh to ₹ 1.45 lakh.
Bookings for the Hero Splendor Electric will start on 27 March 2025, with a token amount of just ₹ 5,000. A bonus of up to ₹ 20,000 will be offered for exchanging old petrol models, along with easy EMI options starting from ₹ 2,500 per month.
