HDFC Bank has announced some key changes to its Business Regalia Credit Card benefits, effective April 1, 2025. While some perks remain unchanged, there are notable revisions to lounge access and the removal of certain insurance benefits.
Current Benefits (Unchanged)
If you’re an existing Business Regalia Credit Cardholder, you will continue to enjoy these benefits:
✅ 4 Reward Points for every ₹150 spent on retail transactions.
✅ Up to 15,000 Bonus Reward Points for annual spends of ₹8 Lakhs.
✅ 6 Complimentary International Lounge Accesses via Priority Pass annually.
What’s Changing?
1. Revised Domestic Lounge Access Benefits
📌 Previously, cardholders enjoyed unlimited complimentary domestic lounge access.
📌 From April 1, 2025, you will now get 2 complimentary domestic lounge accesses per quarter.
Eligibility Criteria:
To avail of the complimentary lounge access, you must spend ₹1 Lakh in the previous quarter.
Quarter | Spending Requirement (Previous Quarter) | Lounge Access Benefit |
---|---|---|
Jan-Mar | ₹1 Lakh spent in Oct-Dec | 2 Complimentary Accesses |
Apr-Jun | ₹1 Lakh spent in Jan-Mar | 2 Complimentary Accesses |
Jul-Sep | ₹1 Lakh spent in Apr-Jun | 2 Complimentary Accesses |
Oct-Dec | ₹1 Lakh spent in Jul-Sep | 2 Complimentary Accesses |
🔹 International lounge access (6 per year) remains unchanged.
2. Removal of Insurance Benefits
From April 1, 2025, the following insurance benefits will be discontinued:
🚫 Air Accidental Death Cover: ₹1 Crore
🚫 Emergency Overseas Hospitalization Protection: ₹15 Lakhs
🚫 Flight Delay Cover: ₹25,000
🚫 Missed Connecting International Flight Cover: ₹25,000
Impact on Cardholders
- If you frequently use domestic lounges, you must now ensure a minimum quarterly spend of ₹1 Lakh to continue enjoying complimentary access.
- The removal of insurance benefits makes it essential for travelers to seek alternative travel insurance coverage.
Should You Continue Using This Card?
The HDFC Business Regalia Credit Card still offers valuable rewards and international lounge access. However, the reduction in domestic lounge benefits and removal of insurance coverage could impact frequent travelers.
👉 If lounge access and travel insurance are crucial for you, consider alternative credit cards that provide better perks.
