DelhiDesk: The Congress government in Karnataka has decided to implement the Griha Lakshmi Yojana, which promises to provide financial assistance of Rs 2,000 every month to the female head of households. The money will be directly transferred to the account of the beneficiary and will benefit over 1.5 crore women in the state. To be eligible for the scheme, the applicant must be the head of the family, a resident of Karnataka, and have an annual income of less than Rs 2 lakh.
