The Central Industrial Security Force is offering a new way for its employees to access welfare schemes. An online welfare portal has been launched to simplify the process for about 1.6 lakh personnel. This new digital window allows uniformed staff to apply for assistance without paperwork, saving time and reducing visits to offices.
Through this portal, workers can file applications for personal loans, scholarships and other benefits from their own devices. Once a request is approved, the money will be transferred directly into the applicant’s bank account. The CISF plans to disburse more than ₹100 crore this year through the site, making it easier to track and manage payments for loans and scholarships.
Interest rates on personal loans are being reduced from six percent to three percent, making borrowing cheaper for employees. Medical treatment loans will carry just a two percent rate. Meanwhile, the maximum loan amount for home construction and marriage has been increased from three lakh to five lakh rupees. The repayment window has been extended from three years to five years, easing the financial burden on families.
In addition to loans, the portal offers scholarships for children, support for higher education, aid for medical emergencies and extra benefits for retired staff. Funds are also set aside for high-level training programmes, ensuring that personnel can continue to develop their skills. Applications can be completed online at any time, and details such as bank account numbers must be submitted to ensure swift payment.
The welfare portal opened to applicants on Monday, and it will remain active for all employees. Those interested should register immediately, gather documents and fill in the online forms. Once verified, the funds will be deposited into the respective bank accounts. As the programme develops, the CISF plans to add more services and monitor feedback to improve the experience for its personnel.
