Ghaziabad: Teenager Converted to Religion through Online Game, Case Filed Against Maulvi and Another Person
In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old teenager from Jain community in Ghaziabad was converted to a different religion on the pretext of teaching him a trick to score better in an online game. The teenager, identified as Kishor, started going to the gym five times a day to offer prayers after the conversion. His father has filed a case against two people, including the Maulvi of the local mosque.

As per the report, Kishor came in contact with a young man named Baddo from Mumbai while playing online games two years ago. Baddo started sending him religious material through WhatsApp and email, eventually brainwashing him. Kishor’s father grew suspicious when his son started going out of the house five times a day on the pretext of going to the gym. One day, he followed his son and found him going to the mosque. Kishor admitted that he had converted to a different religion and would stay in the mosque if he was taken out of the house.
The Maulvi, who had been informed about Kishor’s conversion a few days earlier, is also being investigated in the case. ACP Kavinagar Abhishek Srivastava confirmed that the case has been registered.
