Demolition of Illegal Colony in Ghaziabad
The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) took strong action recently by demolishing construction work in an illegal colony located on 12 bighas of land in Duhai, near Madhuban-Bapudham. A team from the GDA used bulldozers to carry out the demolition.
Protests During Demolition
During the demolition process, some local residents protested against the action. The GDA team, along with police, worked to calm the protesters by explaining the situation to them.
GDA’s Directive
Atul Vats, the Vice President of the GDA, emphasized that the illegal development of the colony would not be tolerated. The construction was taking place without the necessary approvals and proper map submissions.
Details of the Illegal Construction
In this illegal colony, structures such as a boundary wall and an RCC road had already been built. However, these constructions have now been demolished. The GDA has advised residents of the city not to purchase plots in such illegal colonies to avoid any future issues.
