GDA Takes Action Against Illegal Colony

The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has taken strong action against an illegal colony being developed on 14 bigha of land near village Bisokhar in the Modinagar region. The enforcement team, led by the in-charge of Zone-2, along with police support, used bulldozers to demolish the colony’s boundary wall, road, and electric poles. During the operation, the colonizer opposed the action, but the GDA team continued their work with police assistance.

The GDA officials have urged the public not to buy or sell plots in illegal colonies to avoid any future financial loss or problems.

Slow Progress on Storm Water Drainage in Mohannagar

In another update, the storm water drainage work in Mohannagar is progressing slowly. Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik visited the site to assess the ongoing works under the Chief Minister’s Grid scheme and instructed the team to expedite the 80-meter drainage project.

Additionally, construction has begun to beautify 1,760 meters of road from Hindon Air Force to the Mohannagar intersection. Road work from the 900-meter Sheshnag gate to the elevated road is also set to commence under the CM Grid scheme, with all action plans prepared. The Municipal Commissioner has directed the team to ensure timely completion of the ongoing work at the Mohannagar intersection.

Contaminated Water Issues in Amrapali Empire Society

Residents of the Amrapali Empire Society in Crossing Republic are facing serious issues with contaminated water. Repeated tests of water samples have failed, prompting the Health Department to issue a notice warning of potential actions if the situation does not improve.

Despite complaints about the water quality, the society’s management has not made any significant changes. District Surveillance Officer Dr. Rakesh visited the society with a team and posted a notice addressing the situation. The department will take further action, and water samples will be tested again if improvements are not made.
