Ladli Behna Gas Cylinder Scheme: The Laadli Behna Yojana in Madhya Pradesh has expanded to include subsidized cooking gas cylinders, aimed at enhancing support for women beneficiaries. This initiative will make essential household resources more accessible.

Subsidized Gas Cylinders for Beneficiaries

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that beneficiaries of the Ladli Brahmin Yojana can now obtain LPG cylinders for just Rs 450, significantly lower than the market price of Rs 887. The government has allocated Rs 632.16 crore to support this initiative, benefiting approximately 24 lakh women.

Eligibility and Benefits

To qualify for subsidized gas cylinders, women must:

1. Be registered under the Ladli Brahmin Yojana.
2. Have an existing gas connection under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana or similar schemes.
3. Ensure the gas connection is in their name, not a male relative’s.

Eligible women can receive one subsidized cylinder monthly, with the difference between Rs 450 and the market price refunded as a subsidy.
