In an effort to increase voter turnout on May 25, various Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) in Delhi are taking initiatives to encourage participation. Some RWAs are offering free breakfast, while others are providing e-rickshaw services to transport voters to polling stations.

Sachin Sharma, a resident of New Saraswati Society in Rohini Sector-9 and Secretary of Rohini Federation CGHS, announced that free breakfast will be provided in the society for those who vote in the morning.

Additionally, e-rickshaws will be available to take voters to the polling stations. For those waiting for e-rickshaws, a designated play area is being set up where voters can engage in various activities while they wait.

Community Meetings:

Suresh Bindal, the founder of the IPEX Society Federation, mentioned that meetings are being held in different societies in the mornings and evenings to encourage higher voter turnout in Delhi. The emphasis is on motivating people to participate in the elections.

Lemon Water and E-Rickshaw Services:

Atul Goyal, President of United Resident Joint Action (URJA), which represents over 2,500 RWAs in Delhi, stated that e-rickshaw services will be provided to transport voters to and from the polling stations. Given the hot weather, arrangements for lemon water will also be made to ensure voters stay hydrated.

These initiatives by RWAs aim to create a comfortable and encouraging environment for voters, ultimately increasing participation in the democratic process.
