Hyundai has unveiled the 2024 model of its luxurious Staria MPV in South Korea, marking a significant upgrade with the inclusion of a hybrid engine and an array of enhanced features.
Positioned above the Stargazer MPV in Hyundai’s lineup, the Staria is designed to compete with larger models due to its size and stature, measuring about 5.3 meters in length and offering both a 2.2-liter turbo diesel and a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine.
Enhanced Powertrain and Hybrid Option
The latest update in the Staria’s lineup introduces a hybrid powertrain, signaling Hyundai’s commitment to eco-friendly innovation. Available in various trims such as Cargo, Tourer, and Lounge, the Staria caters to diverse needs, from commercial use to luxury travel.
The hybrid system now includes a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine, promising a fuel-efficient journey with a claimed mileage of 13 Km/l and maintaining a substantial presence on the road with its 2.5-ton weight.
Pricing and Variants
The Staria Hybrid begins its pricing for the Cargo 3-seater at approximately KRW 34,330,000 (around 21.33 lakh INR) and goes up to KRW 46,140,000 (about 28.7 lakh INR) for the top-spec Lounge Inspiration 7-seater.
Each variant is strategically priced to offer value and luxury, catering to a range of customers looking for either utilitarian functionality or premium comfort.

Recent sightings of the Staria in India with a blue registration plate indicate its diplomatic use, while its top-spec Inspiration 7-seater variant is gaining popularity as a premium VIP vehicle.
Competing with the likes of Kia Carnival, the Staria is built on the Hyundai-Kia N3 platform, known for its optional AWD and FWD capabilities. The 2024 Staria Hybrid includes modern touches like a smart key and a new Type-C socket, enhancing its appeal and functionality.
