Efforts to finalize the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) expressway project are underway. A meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh included officials from FMDA, PWD, Smart City, and other departments.
The departments reached a consensus to proceed with one of the three proposed routes identified by the PWD. The project file will now be sent to the government for approval. Once approved, work on the project will begin.
Importance of the FNG Expressway:
- The FNG expressway will provide a direct road link between Faridabad and Noida, bypassing Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj route.
- Currently, heavy congestion on the Agra Canal road causes significant delays for over 1 lakh commuters traveling daily between Noida and Ghaziabad.
