The Haryana Metro Rail Transport Corporation has approved the proposal to extend the Rapid Metro from Sector-56 to Vatika Chowk on the Gurugram-Sohna Highway. The plan includes the construction of five metro stations on the Golf Course Extension Road.
Once completed, residents from Sector-59 to 67, as well as those in Sector-49, 50, 56, 57, and Sushant Lok 2 and 3, will benefit from this extension. The plan covers a distance of 36 kilometers from Sector-56 to Pachgaon with the construction of 28 elevated metro stations. The Detailed Project Report is expected to be completed by August 31st.
With this extension, commuting in Gurugram will become more convenient for a larger population, improving connectivity and reducing travel time for residents in the area. The approval from the Chief Secretary of Haryana indicates a positive step towards enhancing public transportation in the city.
