A new electric car is set to be launched in the entry-level segment in India by Maruti Suzuki. The parent company, Suzuki Motor Corporation, has patented the design of the eWX electric hatchback, claiming it can run up to 230 kilometers on a full charge.

The car is expected to be the electric version of the popular Wagon R hatchback and will compete with other electric vehicles like Tata Tiago EV, Citroen eC3, and MG Comet EV.
