Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the residence of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in Delhi on Sunday, assuring the AAP MP’s father, mother, and wife Anita Singh of his unwavering support. Mann stated that the BJP resorts to leveraging the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) when they start losing.

Sanjay Singh, an AAP leader, was recently arrested by the ED in connection with an alleged liquor scam. Following the meeting, Bhagwant Mann addressed journalists and stated that the BJP’s strategy is to intimidate opposition MLAs who win elections by deploying the ED and CBI against them. If they remain undeterred, they are sent to jail. Mann emphasized that Sanjay Singh’s arrest was a result of him voicing the concerns of the public from the streets to the Parliament.

Mann confidently declared that they are not afraid of such tactics. He mentioned that the ED conducted numerous raids in the case, but no evidence supporting the allegations was found. He attributed these actions to scare tactics employed by the BJP, but reassured that they are resilient and committed to working for the country and its people. Mann also highlighted that the BJP is aware of its impending defeat in the upcoming elections, which is why these actions are being carried out.
