The Enforcement Directorate informed the court that Sanjay Singh had allegedly demanded a bribe in exchange for a liquor license. The ED claimed to have evidence of this bribe demand. Singh’s initial remand period had expired, leading to his appearance in court. The ED’s lawyer stated that Singh has been uncooperative during custody and has not provided satisfactory answers to the investigation’s questions, including queries regarding his phone’s data.

The ED further informed the court that they have evidence of bribe demands in this case and are currently investigating the allegations. The agency stated that the bribe was allegedly demanded to expedite liquor traders’ license clearances. Additionally, the ED mentioned that Sarvesh Mishra, another individual involved in the case, is also not cooperating and has been summoned for questioning tomorrow.

Responding to the developments, AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed that all the dishonest individuals are aligned with the central government and that they are robbers who have looted thousands of crores. Singh accused the Prime Minister of playing games and expressed his desire to expose the extent of their alleged torture. According to Singh, action is being taken against those who are honest.

The Enforcement Directorate had recently arrested Sanjay Singh in connection with the Kathir liquor scam in Delhi. Prior to the arrest, the agency had conducted extensive raids on Singh’s premises. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is already in jail in connection with the same liquor scam.

However, AAP leaders have strongly condemned the arrests of Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, denouncing them as arbitrary actions by the investigating agency. The party’s leaders have consistently denied any involvement in a liquor scam in Delhi.
