Suspense Remains Over Special Session of Parliament
Delhi. Suspense still remains regarding the special session of Parliament. Meanwhile, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the government has no plans to hold general elections earlier and PM Modi would like to serve the citizens of India till the last day of his tenure.
He said that the government has constituted a committee on One Nation-One Election and the committee will hold extensive consultations before finalizing the criteria for it. The government has no plans to hold the upcoming assembly elections along with the general elections. Thakur dismissed all talk of early or delayed elections as media conjecture.
Issuing information regarding the session, the Secretariat said that there will be 5 meetings and members will be informed separately about the provisional calendar. There will be no question hour and zero hour during the session. There will be a round of continuous discussion in all the meetings. Although the topics of discussion were not told.
