Noida police have intensified their efforts to enforce traffic rules, announcing the suspension of licenses for drivers who receive more than three challans. The move comes as incidents of traffic rule violations are on the rise in Noida.
License Suspension for Repeat Offenders
According to Anil Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), drivers accumulating more than three challans will face the suspension of their licenses. This decision aligns with the directives from the ‘Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety’ and resolutions made during the Uttar Pradesh Road Safety Council meeting.
Key Violations Leading to License Suspension
Yadav emphasized that actions such as ‘jumping red lights,’ ‘speeding,’ ‘overloading,’ carrying passengers in goods vehicles, using mobile phones while driving, or driving under the influence will result in stringent measures. In addition to license suspension, vehicle registration may also be revoked or suspended for offenses like these.
