Traffic Challans: New Guidelines for Payment
In Gurugram, many drivers have been neglecting to pay their traffic fines, sometimes for months. To address this issue, the Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic, Virendra Vij, has announced new guidelines. Drivers are now required to pay their challan fines within 90 days. If they fail to do so, their vehicles will be checked, and any outstanding payments will be enforced.
Traffic inspectors and zonal officers have been instructed to spread awareness about this new rule in their areas. It is important for drivers to understand that if they do not pay their fines within the specified time, their vehicles can be stopped under the Motor Vehicle Act.
