Bus Service to Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela
Good news for devotees visiting the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela! Starting Saturday, a direct bus service from Gurugram to Prayagraj will be available. This means that people in the district can now travel directly to the Mahakumbh Mela by road.
The bus service will begin on February 1, with a simple class bus leaving from the Gurugram bus stand at 6 PM each day. It will reach Prayagraj by 5 AM the next morning. For the return journey, the bus will depart from Prayagraj at 6 PM, allowing devotees to comfortably take a dip in the confluence before heading back.
The one-way fare from Gurugram to Prayagraj has been set at Rs 955. Passengers can book their tickets offline at the traffic branch located at the bus station. If demand increases, more buses will be added to the service.
Support for Devotees
Many people from Gurugram are traveling to Prayagraj each day for the Mahakumbh Mela, and currently, there are limited seats available on trains and flights. This new bus service aims to ease the travel difficulties faced by devotees.
Household Scheme Registration Camps
In another update, a review of the Every Household Scheme was conducted by Additional Deputy Commissioner Hitesh Kumar Meena. He checked the eligibility and registration parameters for the scheme. It was reported that registration camps will be set up at 116 locations across the district.
The scheme is available for those holding Antyodaya Ann Yojana (AAY) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) ration cards. Eligible women heads of registered families can get an LPG cylinder for just Rs 500. The government will subsidize the remaining cost of the cylinder.
For registration, eligible women need to provide their family identity card, a registered mobile number, and a bank account passbook along with other necessary documents. A total of 116 CSC assistants have been appointed to help with the registration process.
