Chaos in Ghaziabad Due to Dense Fog
On Wednesday morning, Ghaziabad faced a chaotic situation as dense fog led to multiple accidents. At two locations, dozens of vehicles were involved in collisions on the Peripheral Highway and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
Accident on Delhi Meerut Expressway
Around 9 am, more than 25 vehicles collided due to poor visibility on the Delhi Meerut Expressway near the village of Kalchina. Many people were injured in this unfortunate incident, creating a traffic jam on the expressway. Authorities worked to clear the wreckage and help those involved. According to reports, about a dozen individuals sustained injuries, with four of them being admitted to a private hospital in Ghaziabad for treatment.
Multiple Vehicle Collision on Eastern Peripheral Highway
Later, around 10 am, another major accident occurred on the Eastern Peripheral Highway near Revada Revdi village. Here, approximately 40 vehicles were involved in a collision, resulting in one person being injured. The injured individual, a resident of Kattha village in Baghpat, was taken to a local hospital by family members and is currently reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities are working to manage the traffic situation and have successfully moved the crashed vehicles to one side of the road. The dense fog continues to pose challenges for drivers in the area.
