Greater Noida witnessed a horrific incident on Friday morning when a delivery boy, who had come to deliver milk and eggs in Supertech Eco Village One Society, attempted to rape a girl who was alone in the flat. The accused, identified as Sumit Sharma from Achheja village, beat the girl severely when she resisted his advances. He then threatened her before fleeing the scene.

The police have registered a case against Sumit Sharma and conducted a raid in his village, but he managed to evade arrest by leaving his house. The victim, an inter-pass girl from Noida, had come to her sister’s fiancé’s flat in Supertech Eco Village One Society. The fiancé, who works in a private bank, had gone out for some work, leaving the girl alone in the flat.

The delivery boy arrived at the flat in the morning after the girl had ordered milk and eggs. Upon learning that the girl was alone, he took advantage of the situation and entered the flat. He molested her and attempted to rape her, leading to the girl protesting against his actions. In response, the accused assaulted her. The Bisarkh police station in-charge stated that the girl underwent a medical examination in the evening and returned home from the police station after 8 o’clock at night.
