The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has restarted its bus service between New Delhi and Kathmandu after normalcy returned in Nepal. The service had been suspended for several weeks due to protests in Nepal’s Janakpur region, which had left one DTC bus stranded there.

Under the revived schedule, DTC buses will operate three days a week – every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – from Delhi. In return, Nepal’s Manjushree Yatayat will run buses on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. All buses on this international route are fully air-conditioned to ensure passenger comfort.

Officials confirmed that the service is running smoothly, with passenger numbers unaffected by the earlier disruption. However, one limitation of this long-distance journey is that buses cannot take or drop passengers at mid-route locations; boarding and de-boarding are only permitted at the designated terminals.
