As Delhi begins to feel a slight chill in the air, the temperature is expected to drop further in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a two-degree decline in maximum temperature over the next four days.

On Sunday, the minimum temperature in the capital dropped below 20°C, signaling the onset of cooler weather. Despite sunny mornings, the intensity of sunlight has reduced, indicating a transition to winter.

On another front, the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) committee, responsible for enforcing pollution control measures in Delhi, reviewed the current pollution situation as the air quality worsened. However, the committee has decided not to impose any restrictions yet.

 

They plan to monitor the pollution levels closely for another day or two before taking any action. The Central Air Quality Management Commission is continuously reviewing the pollution levels, and according to forecasts by the weather department and IITM, the pollution levels might decrease by Monday.
