In a concerted effort to curb mosquito-borne diseases, the Delhi Municipal Corporation has issued more than 5,000 fines in just one week. This action comes after mosquito larvae were found in various locations across the city.
Notices to 10,000 Residents
In addition to the fines, the authorities have also issued notices to 10,000 residents. This move is part of a broader campaign to prevent diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya.
City-Wide Inspection Underway
Municipal employees, under the supervision of senior officials, are conducting inspections in all city wards. The results of these inspections are being submitted weekly to the public health department at the Civic Center.
Resident Associations Demand Weekly Reports
Several Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) have called on the municipal administration to release weekly reports on dengue, malaria, and chikungunya cases.
