The Namo Bharat project has received approval from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) for operations from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar. The train services will begin once the Prime Minister finalizes the schedule for the launch.
Initially, trains will run every 15 minutes between New Ashok Nagar and Namo Bharat stations. Based on passenger demand, the frequency may be adjusted. Once operational from New Ashok Nagar, this frequency is expected to remain unchanged.

- With growing demand, the number of trains and frequency can be increased to meet requirements. If needed, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) may also revise the stopping intervals to cater to larger crowds.
- This phase will connect New Ashok Nagar with Meerut, ensuring seamless operations across the route.
- Route Completion:
- The entire alignment from Sahibabad to Meerut has been prepared for launch.
- For the convenience of passengers, Indian Railways, ISBT, and metro systems are integrated into this network to offer all transportation options in one place.
- Fare Information:
- The fare from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar will be ₹50, while the full journey from Sahibabad to Meerut South will cost ₹100.
- A monthly pass option is also available for frequent travelers, providing significant savings.
- Inspection and Preparations:
- The Divisional Commissioner has inspected stations and ensured readiness for public services.
- Before the inspection, the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh held a video conference to discuss necessary preparations for the launch event and provided updates about ongoing efforts in the region.
Current Services:
According to sources, Namo Bharat trains are already operational between the fifth and sixth stations from Sahibabad to Meerut. Passengers have expressed satisfaction with the services.
