First Death from New Variant in Delhi Sparks Alarm
In a concerning development, Delhi has reported its first COVID-19 fatality linked to a new variant of the virus. A 60-year-old woman succumbed to the infection, health officials confirmed on Saturday. The capital also recorded 56 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, pushing its active case count to 294.
Authorities have advised the public to remain cautious, especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and immunocompromised individuals.
