If you’re planning to travel through the New Delhi area on Friday, be prepared for significant traffic disruptions. The Nari Shakti March is set to take place from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar, affecting several major roads in the region between 11 AM and 2 PM.
The march, organized by the Nari Shakti Forum, is expected to draw around 20,000 participants. The procession will begin at Mandi House and will pass through Barakhamba Road, Tolstoy Marg, and other key areas before reaching Jantar Mantar.
As a result, roads around Mandi House, Bhagwan Das Road, Copernicus Marg, Feroz Shah Road, KG Marg, Barakhamba Road, Sansad Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Tolstoy Marg, RML, Gol Dak Khana, Ashoka Road, Mahadev Road, and Raisina Road are expected to experience heavy traffic.
Delhi Traffic Police advises people to avoid traveling to the New Delhi area during these hours unless absolutely necessary. They recommend using public transport like the metro and buses to reduce the number of vehicles on the road and help prevent traffic jams.
