DelhiDesk The Delhi High Court has questioned Tihar jail authorities regarding the recovery of four knives from the jail premises where Tillu Tajpuria, a gangster, was allegedly stabbed to death by inmates of a rival gang. The court has asked why no preventive or remedial action was taken by the authorities when the entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in jail premises. Tajpuria’s father and brother have filed a petition seeking a CBI investigation into the “brutal murder” and adequate security for themselves, as they are DTC drivers. The court has directed the Delhi Police to ensure safety and security for the petitioners and has asked the Tihar jail authorities to file an affidavit on how the four knives were found. A CCTV video from Tihar Jail emerged on social media which purportedly showed Tajpuria being attacked in front of security personnel and also when they were carrying him away after he was stabbed. Seven personnel of the Tamil Nadu Special Police (TNSP) who were on duty at a Tihar prison cell when Tajpuria was stabbed to death have been suspended following the incident.
