New Delhi – In an effort to provide the citizens of Delhi with a fresh recreational space, authorities have unveiled Suddhawana Park, a beautifully redeveloped area where families can spend quality time amidst fountains, statues, and greenery. The park offers a serene environment that is ideal for picnics and leisurely outings.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has completed the renovation of Suddhawana Park, which spans 11 acres and now boasts attractive fountains along with various statues. On Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta jointly inaugurated the park. Symbolizing Suddhawana, white balloons were released into the sky during the ceremony.

Key highlights include a circular water feature surrounded by five white horse statues and four statues honoring the revered sculptor Sudarshan Sahu
The centerpiece of the park is a circular fountain area featuring a grand water body encircled by five white horse sculptures, managed by Sarathi. Additionally, trees such as the Moulshree have been planted to enhance the natural ambiance. Four impressive statues crafted by the honored sculptor Sudarshan Sahu adorn the Raychak lawn.
How to Reach Suddhawana Park: Convenient Metro and Bus Access
Located opposite Shanti Van and Rajghat, the park is easily accessible via metro, e-rickshaw, and bus routes
Visitors can reach the park by disembarking at the Delhi Gate metro station and taking an e-rickshaw to cover the approximate 1.4 kilometers to the park. Bus travelers may use DTC bus number 188 or routes 188 and 706 operated by DTCS from Delhi Gate towards Rajghat.
Park Facilities Enhance Visitor Experience and Promote Community Engagement
Walkways, gazebos, fountain sculptures, and a soon-to-be-launched food van create a welcoming atmosphere for all ages
Spread across its 11-acre expanse, the park features amenities such as a chariot fountain, baradari (pavilion), and fountain sculptures resembling birds. White marble pedestrian paths and statues add to the park’s charm and beauty.
According to officials, construction of a clock tower is underway to further beautify the park. Additionally, plans are in place to launch a food van near the parking area, designed to attract more visitors and enhance their experience.
