Delhi is gearing up to bid farewell to traffic jams in the early months of the New Year. Several projects slated to run from February to March will bring immense relief to the public. Here are some projects that will make traffic smoother.

  • Bhairon Marg – Ring Road Underpass: Connecting Bhairon Marg to Ring Road, this underpass will provide an easier route from Mathura Road to Ring Road. It was originally set to be completed by September 2022, but due to complications with the railway line, it should be ready by March next year. The project is part of the larger Ring Road corridor project and costs a whopping 800 crores.

  • Apsara Border to Anand Vihar Flyover: This 372 crore flyover, initially aimed for completion by December 31, 2023, is set to be a game-changer. It will ease traffic from Rohatak Road (NH-10) to connect Northern Delhi to Southern Delhi, Gurugram, and other NCR regions. This six-lane flyover on Road Number 56 will solve traffic congestion issues at Ramprastha Colony, Vivek Vihar, and Shrestha Vihar.

  • Raja Garden Flyover and Corridor: This corridor is a section of Ring Road, currently undergoing a massive makeover. The double-decker flyover project between Bhajanpura and Yamuna Vihar on the Martyr Mangal Pandey Marg was expected to be completed by December 31. However, due to delays, the new deadline is March 31. This project, which costs 352 crores, includes an upper deck for the metro and a lower deck for the flyover.

As these projects are rapidly progressing, the aim is to complete three out of four by the end of the first quarter of the new year. These developments promise significant relief from traffic congestion in various parts of Delhi
