The Directorate of Education (DoE) has announced that government schools in Delhi will observe summer vacation from May 11th to June 3 0th, 2023. A circular in this regard has been issued to all schools by the Deputy Director of Education (Nursery-Primary Branch).
This decision aligns with the usual practice of summer vacations in Delhi schools, providing a break for students and teachers during the hot summer months. During this period, schools will remain closed, and academic activities will be suspended.
TheDoE has instructed schools to complete all syllabus portions and assessments before the commencement of the summer vacation. Additionally, schools have been advised to conduct revision classes and remedial programs for students who need extra support.
The summer vacation is an opportunity for students to relax, recharge, and engage in non-academic activities. They can pursue their hobbies, interests, and spend quality time with family and friends.
TheDoE has also directed schools to ensure proper security arrangements during the summer break to prevent any untoward incidents. School buildings and premises will be monitored regularly to maintain safety and security.
The summer vacation will conclude on June 30th, 2023, and schools will reopen for the new academic session on July 1st, 2023
