While the Hyundai Creta leads, the Kia Seltos is its biggest rival. Both cars have a strong presence in the market. In addition to these two, there are other players like the Honda Elevate, JSW MG Astor, and Volkswagen Taigun, which also try to capture the compact SUV audience.
Sales Figures for April 2025 📊
According to SIAM, the sales figures for April 2025 show that the Hyundai Creta sold 17,016 units, proving its dominance in the compact SUV segment. In contrast, the Kia Seltos sold only 6,135 units, which is less than half of Creta’s sales.
Other Competitors in the Market 🚙
Looking at other cars, the Honda Elevate sold just 935 units, while the JSW MG Astor had 133 units sold. The Volkswagen Taigun managed to sell 1,155 units. Mahindra’s electric SUVs, BE 6 and XEV 9E, sold a total of 2,991 units. Meanwhile, the Skoda Kushaq sold 1,158 units.

The base variant of Hyundai Creta starts at ₹11.11 lakh, and the top variant goes up to ₹23.61 lakh. The Kia Seltos, on the other hand, starts at ₹11.19 lakh and can go up to ₹23.84 lakh for the top variant.
