High Court Agrees to DHCBA’s Request

The Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) has informed its members that no adverse orders will be passed by the High Court if lawyers are unable to appear before the court on Monday, July 10. This decision comes after the DHCBA made a request to Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, who agreed to the proposal.

Weather Conditions and Orange Alert

The DHCBA’s request was influenced by the heavy rainfall in Delhi since July 7, 2023, and the Orange Alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for July 10, 2023. The Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court took these factors into consideration when agreeing to the DHCBA’s request.

Ensuring No Adverse Orders

In light of the weather conditions and the potential difficulties faced by lawyers in reaching the court, the Chief Justice has agreed that no adverse orders will be passed if lawyers are unable to present themselves on July 10, 2023. This decision aims to alleviate any unnecessary burden on the lawyers and ensure fairness in legal proceedings.
