Citroen has released a teaser for its next coupe SUV under the C3 range. The short video shows a new silhouette with split headlamps, LED daytime running lights and the brand’s dual chevron logo. The design appears to merge a fastback roofline with a high-riding stance, hinting at a cross between a sedan and an SUV.
The upcoming model, likely to be called the C3X, forms part of Citroen’s 2.0 plan for the Indian market. The brand plans to roll out refreshed versions of the C3 hatchback, the C3 Aircross and the Basalt SUV while adding this new coupe-style SUV. It is expected to retain the familiar 1.2‑litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 81 bhp and 115 Nm as well as a 1.2‑litre turbocharged unit with 108 bhp and 190 Nm. Both manual and automatic transmissions should be available.
As with other C‑series models, Citroen is likely to focus on ride comfort and practicality. The new SUV will be unveiled later this year and could go on sale in 2026.
