French car manufacturer Citroen has launched its 7-seater SUV C3 Aircross in India, in a direct challenge to the Maruti Ertiga, the country’s best-selling car in the 7-seater segment. The C3 Aircross has been introduced in the Indian market not only to compete with the Ertiga, but also with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Rumion, and the recently launched Honda Elevate.
Price and Variants of Citroen C3 Aircross
The Citroen C3 Aircross has been launched at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 9.99 lakh, with the price of its top variant going up to Rs 12.10 lakh. The company has released it in three trims: U, Plus, and Max. This SUV is available in 5 and 7-seater configurations, with the third row seats being removable in the 7-seater configuration.
Engine and Mileage of Citroen C3 Aircross
Citroen has equipped the C3 Aircross with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, which generates 110 bhp of power and 190 Nm of torque. As of now, the SUV has only been released with a manual transmission. The company claims that the engine is fuel efficient, promising a mileage of 18.5 kilometers.
Features and Safety of Citroen C3 Aircross
The Citroen C3 Aircross comes with a 10.2-inch infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver display, offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other features include steering-mounted audio controls and manual AC. For safety, the SUV is equipped with dual airbags at the front, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, rear parking sensor, reverse camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
