Citroen Basalt Bharat NCAP Crash Test Results

The Citroen Basalt scored 10.19 points out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable crash test. The test revealed “good” head and neck protection for both the driver and front passenger, while the driver received “marginal” protection for the chest and thighs. In contrast, the front passenger exhibited “adequate” chest protection and marginal thigh protection. Impressively, the Basalt achieved a perfect score of 16 out of 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test.

Child Occupant Protection

In terms of child occupant protection, the Basalt scored 19.90 out of 24 points in the Dynamic Score using child restraint systems for both an 18-month-old and a three-year-old.

The coupe SUV comes equipped with six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, ISOFIX mounts, three-point seatbelts for all seats, a seatbelt reminder, a rear parking camera, parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

The Citroen Basalt offers two engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 80 bhp and 115 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual, and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 109 bhp and up to 205 Nm, available in both 6-speed manual and automatic variants.
