Passengers traveling between Patna and Delhi have some exciting news coming their way. The Amrit Bharat Express train is set to start its service soon, offering a superfast journey that will take only 9 hours to travel from Patna to Delhi. Running at a speed of 130 km/h, this train promises to drastically cut down travel time. The demand for the train’s rake has already been placed, and passengers will be able to enjoy this service within this year.

Enhanced Facilities
The Amrit Bharat Express will feature significant improvements in both the general and second-class compartments. The train will consist of 22 coaches in total, with special attention given to the needs of differently-abled passengers.
Cushions will be added to the luggage racks, and the seats will be more comfortable compared to regular trains. Designed to resemble a metro, passengers will be able to move easily from one coach to another.
Modern Technology
Each seat will have a charging point. Additionally, the train will be equipped with CCTV cameras, bio-vacuum washrooms, sensor taps, LED lights, and information boards for passenger updates.
Attractive Colors and Design
The Amrit Bharat Express will feature a striking orange and grey color scheme. It will be a non-AC sleeper train designed for long-distance and low-cost service. The train will include eight unreserved second-class coaches, twelve 3-tier sleeper coaches, and two guard compartments.
Indian Railways’ Plan
Indian Railways aims to produce 2,605 general coaches and 1,470 sleeper coaches for the Amrit Bharat Express by 2024-25.
Although it won’t be an AC train, it will offer amenities comparable to the Vande Bharat Express. Consequently, the fare for the Amrit Bharat Express is expected to be 15-17% higher than regular express trains.
