Another full swing of demolition has been announced in national capital region. New international airport in Jewar is expected to open in 2025. All nearby colonies with illegal encroachment has been notified for the demolition.
Greater Noida – The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is tightening its grip on illegal constructions within its notified areas. The authority has issued notices to more than 300 colonizers in regions including Jewar, Mathura, Jahangirabad, and Jhajjar.
Deadline Set for June 4
YEIDA has given the colonizers until July 4 to comply and remove their illegal structures. If they fail to do so, the authority will commence demolition actions.
Widespread Issue Across Six Districts
The affected areas spread across six districts, including Gautam Buddha Nagar. Colonizers have been occupying YEIDA’s land, setting up illegal colonies, and even opening eateries and restaurants along the expressway.
Previous Warnings Ignored
This isn’t the first time YEIDA has cracked down on illegal structures. Previous warnings to colonizers have largely gone unheeded, prompting the current stringent measures.
