Bjp Announces Promises For Delhi Elections Including Property Rights And Job Opportunities For Youth

BJP’s Promises for Delhi Assembly Elections

Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently unveiled the third part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) manifesto ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February 5. The manifesto includes a range of commitments aimed at improving the lives of residents in the national capital. Key highlights of the promises include granting ownership rights to people living in unauthorized colonies and reopening 13,000 sealed shops across Delhi. Amit Shah emphasized that these steps are designed to empower citizens and stimulate economic activity in the city.

Ownership Rights and Economic Revitalization

During the announcement, Amit Shah spoke about the significance of providing ownership rights to individuals living in unauthorized colonies. He noted that more than 1,700 such colonies will now be regulated under the Housing Ministry’s rules, allowing residents to buy, sell, and construct properties legally. Furthermore, the reopening of the 13,000 sealed shops is a major initiative aimed at revitalizing local businesses. Shah mentioned that a judicial authority will be established to facilitate this process, ensuring that these shops can resume operations within six months.

Support for Workers and Youth Employment

The manifesto also addresses the welfare of workers in Delhi. A new Workers’ Welfare Board will be set up to ensure that workers receive life and accident insurance coverage. Additionally, financial assistance will be provided to workers in the textile industry, along with loans to enhance their skills and businesses. The BJP has promised to create 50,000 government jobs for the youth of Delhi, along with 20 lakh self-employment opportunities, all while maintaining a corruption-free environment. An investment of Rs 20,000 crore is planned to develop an integrated public transportation network, which includes converting 13,000 buses to electric, making Delhi a city with 100% electric buses.

Healthcare and Social Welfare Initiatives

Amit Shah also highlighted various social welfare initiatives designed to support families and improve healthcare access. The BJP aims to provide financial aid for pregnant women, as well as subsidized LPG cylinders for households during festive seasons. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, free medical treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh will be available for poor individuals, with the Delhi government covering any additional expenses. Moreover, the monthly pension for senior citizens is set to increase, ensuring better support for the elderly population.
