Bcci Player Yash Bhardwaj Accused Of Faking Birth Certificate In Fraudulent Scheme

Police Case Against Cricketer Yash Bhardwaj

The Palam police have filed a case against cricketer Yash Bhardwaj, who plays for Zone 21 of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This case was registered on January 29, following allegations that Yash and his family obtained a fake birth certificate from Arunachal Pradesh.

A police officer shared that Yash lives with his family in Palam Colony, Raj Nagar. His family includes his wife, Poonam Bhardwaj, and their son, Yash, who is part of the BCCI team for Zone 21 South-Western.

The trouble began when an NGO filed a complaint on January 23, claiming that Yash was born on December 6, 2003, in Delhi. They provided a birth letter issued by the Municipal Corporation of South Delhi dated September 29, 2015. However, the complaint accused the family of creating a false birth certificate from Arunachal Pradesh on June 16, 2017, which mentions a post office in Sachunung, Eastern Kamant district. Yash has attended Venkateswara International School in Delhi.

Investigation Findings

Authorities have discovered that Yash’s family has never traveled to Arunachal Pradesh. The complaint claims that Yash used the fake birth certificate to participate in BCCI’s domestic cricket events, even though he was a minor at that time. DCP Surendra Chaudhary from South-Western Delhi confirmed that the case was registered after reviewing the documents and other details.

National Level Wrestler Arrested

In another incident, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police apprehended a shooter from the Jitendra Gogi gang, who is also a national level wrestler. The accused, known as Akshay alias Taxi, was found in possession of pistols and two cartridges.

The police reported that Akshay had opened fire on September 24 last year under instructions from jailed gangster Rohit alias Moi in the Narela area to instill fear in the community. He was arrested at Dhaula Kuan Metro Station by a team led by ACP Umesh Barthwal and Inspector Rampal. During questioning, Akshay revealed that he was a national level wrestling player and had connected with the Jitendra Gogi gang through Rohit.
