Bajaj secretly launched the Nano car Qute
Bajaj Auto is a renowned name in the Indian automobile market with several bikes that are widely popular among the masses. However, the company had launched its Qute car back in 2018, which was not made available for sale. The car was placed in the quadricycle category, and at that time, its total price was INR 2.48 lakhs. Now, the car is once again making headlines as Bajaj Auto is reportedly planning to launch it in the Indian market.
What is a quadricycle?
A quadricycle is a vehicle that is placed in between the category of 3 and 4-wheelers. It does not follow all the rules that apply to cars. However, if launched as a car, it will have to follow all the rules that apply to cars. It comes with a roof and behaves like a car.
Price of the Nano car
The Qute is expected to be launched as a private car soon, and it has already received approval from NCAT. It will be a four-seater car, and its price is expected to be around INR 2.80-3 lakhs.
New changes in the Qute
Bajaj Auto has made some changes to the Qute, which was earlier placed in the non-transport vehicle category. Its weight has been increased by 17kg, and it will now come with a 216cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 12 Bhp power. The car’s top speed is expected to be between 70 to 80 kmph. Previously, the Qute was launched as a commercial vehicle, and it also had a CNG variant. Now, it is being speculated that the private car version of the Qute will be available in petrol, CNG, and LPG variants.
The Qute car is expected to give a tough competition to Tata Nano, which was launched back in 2008. The Qute is more spacious and comes with better mileage. With the reported changes, the Qute car is expected to become a game-changer in the Indian automobile market.
