Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had emphasized that people would not face any inconvenience in reaching the Noida International Airport and Film City, which are being developed in Jewar.
Individuals from any corner of the country will easily access both these locations. To fulfill Yogi Adityanath’s vision, a new DPR (Detailed Project Report) has been prepared. It illustrates the operation of a light metro from Film City to Jewar International Airport.
This light metro will stretch over 14.5 kilometers. Notably, both rapid rail and regular metro services will run on this light metro line.
Key Details:
- Route Distance: The distance between Film City and Jewar International Airport will be 14.5 kilometers.
- Metro Configuration: The light metro will comprise three coaches.
- Connectivity: The metro line will connect Jewar with Ghaziabad and Delhi, facilitating seamless transportation.
Additional Information:
- Budget Allocation: The project’s budget will be collectively funded by the central government, Uttar Pradesh government, Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Authority.
- Phased Development: The Ghaziabad-Jewar route will be developed in two phases. The first phase will span 39.39 kilometers, while the second phase will cover 32.90 kilometers.
- Integrated Connectivity: The metro line will offer integrated connectivity, with both rapid rail and metro services operating on the same line.
- Cost Efficiency: Combining rapid rail and metro services on a single line will result in cost savings, providing dual benefits to commuters.
Expansion Plans:
