The state of Madhya Pradesh is witnessing an expansion in its metro train facilities. In a significant development, a metro service between Ujjain and Indore has been approved. A meeting was held on Saturday at the Samatva Bhavan in the Chief Minister’s residence, where Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reviewed the progress of metro projects in Bhopal and Indore.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that discussions have taken place with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw regarding the metro. The new metro service between Ujjain and Indore will benefit millions of people.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that according the need of a new traffic plan for the big cities of the state, the state government is going to take important steps. The most important step in this direction includes the decision to operate the metro train between Indore and Ujjain, which will also be useful in terms of transportation facilities for the devotees in Simhastha 2028.
The report of the feasibility survey related to running the metro between Indore-Ujjain has been received. In the coming time, the Vande Metro facility from Indore Airport to Mahakal Temple will be an important gift for the people of the state and the tourists and devotees coming from India and abroad. Different cities will be able to connect in a better way.
Information given in review meeting that the work of preparing the metro line from AIIMS to Karond intersection in Bhopal with a total length of 16.74 kilometers will be completed in three phases. The first phase is seven kilometers, which includes 8 stations (elevated). On the progress of Indore Metro, it was informed that work is being done on a total of 31.32 kilometers. A total of 28 stations will be built in Indore.
