Delhi University Student Accuses Young Man of Rape
A student of Delhi University has filed a complaint with the police, accusing a young man of rape. The girl stated that she had met the accused through a dating app and had become friends. The incident came to light when the girl lodged a complaint at Gulabi Bagh police station on Tuesday. The police have registered a case and are actively searching for the accused.
The victim, a 23-year-old girl from Madhya Pradesh studying at Delhi University, narrated her ordeal to the police. According to her statement, she met the young man on January 17 through a dating app. The following day, he asked her to meet him at a tea shop late at night. Initially, the girl refused, but the accused persisted, and she eventually agreed to meet him.
After meeting at the tea shop, the young man took the student to his flat. At around 3 o’clock in the morning, he forcefully raped her. The victim managed to escape and immediately reported the incident to the police.
The police are now investigating the matter based on the victim’s complaint. They are also attempting to locate and reach out to the accused through the dating app they initially connected on.
