Just 18 days after its inauguration, Purnea Airport is set for a major boost in connectivity. Indigo Airlines has confirmed the launch of direct daily flights between Purnea and Delhi starting October 26, 2025, fulfilling a long-standing demand from passengers across the Seemanchal region.

Booking for this new route began on Friday, and tickets are already seeing strong demand.
Strong Demand & Regional Impact
Travelers, including politicians, business leaders, and daily commuters, had been requesting this service since the airport’s opening. Although the launch was delayed due to clearance issues at Delhi Airport, Indigo has now stepped in to start operations.
Currently, Purnea Airport connects to Kolkata daily via Indigo and Star Air. From October 15, Star Air’s Ahmedabad flights will also become daily.
