According to the Delhi Health Department, the young woman who died had pre-existing lung complications. She was previously diagnosed with severe pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) and was undergoing treatment. Doctors stated that her condition had already compromised both her lungs.
Her condition further deteriorated after contracting Covid-19, eventually leading to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and multi-organ failure.
