In a significant anti-encroachment action, the Project Division of Work Circle 3 under the Greater Noida Authority deployed bulldozers in the Patwadi region, freeing approximately 10,000 square metres of prime residential land. The estimated market value of the recovered land is said to be around ₹100 crore.
The action has now paved the way for the construction of 9-metre and 18-metre-wide sector roads as well as the development of a green belt in Sector 2, Block D.
Possession Denied for Years Due to Encroachment
Allottees had approached CEO after being denied plots despite allotment
Under the residential housing scheme of the Greater Noida Authority, 10 residential plots were allotted to individuals in Sector 2’s Block D. However, due to encroachment on the assigned land, these allottees were unable to take possession.
Frustrated with the delay, the allottees approached CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar, who promptly assured action. On his directive, Additional CEO Prerna Singh dispatched a demolition team led by GM A.K. Singh on Monday.

Long-delayed sector infrastructure work to finally begin
With the land now freed, the path is cleared for the development of 9-metre and 18-metre roads and a green belt, which had been stalled for years. Residents of Sector 2 are expected to benefit greatly from the improved infrastructure.
