The Vande Bharat Express, India’s first semi-high speed train, faced a disruption on Friday as daily passengers at Ambala Cantt railway station created a ruckus. The passengers expressed their anger towards the Railways due to the frequent delays in the train schedule and the recent change in the route from Ambala to Hisar.
The protest resulted in chaos at the station, with passengers stopping the Vande Bharat Express and demanding a resolution to their travel woes. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) officials had to intervene to control the situation and remove the protesting passengers from the railway line.
The dissatisfaction among daily passengers had been brewing for some time, especially with the continuous delays in the Vande Bharat Express schedule. The passengers highlighted how their routines were being disrupted due to the route change and constant delays, urging the Railways to address their concerns promptly.
The protest escalated when the train was stopped by some passengers sitting on the railway line, causing a temporary disruption in rail traffic. However, the RPF and GRP officials managed to restore order after an hour of efforts and allowed the train to resume its journey.
The Railway officials assured the protesting passengers that their complaints would be conveyed to the higher authorities for necessary action. Despite the delay caused by the protest, normal operations resumed shortly after the situation was brought under control.
