Ghaziabad Station Redevelopment Set To Benefit Four Up Cities, Easing Travel For Thousands And Cutting Costs For Commuters.

Ghaziabad News:

Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state of India. Despite this, there are four cities in UP where residents currently have to travel to Delhi just to catch a train. However, soon this inconvenience will be resolved.

Residents of these four cities will no longer need to head to Delhi to board a train. This will save both time and money for commuters. In response to passenger needs, the Ghaziabad railway station, which is the second largest railway station in the NCR, is undergoing redevelopment. It is located on the Delhi-Howrah line and sees more than 400 trains passing through daily, with over 200 trains making stops there.

In a recent update, the Railway Ministry confirmed that construction at Ghaziabad station is progressing quickly. The redevelopment is expected to directly benefit the people living nearby.

Which four cities will get relief

Residents from four areas—Ghaziabad, Trans Hindon, Noida, and Greater Noida—will experience relief thanks to the redevelopment of the Ghaziabad railway station. Currently, these residents have to travel 30 to 40 kilometers to Delhi just to catch a train, which incurs extra costs and time delays. With the improvements at Ghaziabad station, these individuals will be able to board trains directly from their local station. An increase in passenger traffic is also anticipated, which means more trains will stop there.

The redevelopment project is estimated to cost around 450 crores. Once completed, Ghaziabad station will become the second largest station in the NCR, after Delhi. The upgraded station will feature enhanced facilities such as a new entrance, platforms, waiting rooms, ticket booking areas, restrooms, lifts, and a food court among other amenities.
